Simplified reconstruction of layered materials in EIT

چکیده
This short note considerably simplifies a reconstruction method by the author (Garde, 2020), for reconstructing piecewise constant layered conductivities (PCLC) from partial boundary measurements in electrical impedance tomography. Theory monotonicity-based of extreme inclusions eliminates most bookkeeping related to multiple components each layer, and also involved test operators. Moreover, no longer requires priori lower upper bounds unknown conductivity values.

Automatic Layered 3D Reconstruction of Simplified Object Models for Grasping
Most grasping systems require complete CAD models as input, but building these models automatically is not straightforward. We propose a strategy for approximating complete models of previously unknown objects from a single 3D scan of a cluttered scene. We achieve this by exploiting common symmetries in objects of daily use, and by handling overand under-segmentation issues. The idea is to use ...
متن کاملDevelopments in EIT Reconstruction Algorithms
We review developments, issues and challenges in Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT), for the 4th Workshop on Biomedical Applications of EIT, Manchester 2003. We focus on the necessity for three dimensional data collection and reconstruction, efficient solution of the forward problem and present and future reconstruction algorithms. We also suggest common pitfalls or “inverse crimes” to avoid.

Most applications of thoracic EIT use a single plane of electrodes on the chest from which a transverse image 'slice' is calculated. However, interpretation of EIT images is made difficult by the large region above and below the electrode plane to which EIT is sensitive. Volumetric EIT images using two (or more) electrode planes should help compensate, but are little used currently. The Graz co...
